Introduction
MediCall is a communication platform for the online consultations of Medicover S.R.L., a limited liability company based in Bucharest, sector 6, SG. Constantin Ghercu, nr. 1A, 1st floor, registered at the Trade Register under nr. J40/6724/2003, with CUI 15446991, as well as of the legal entities that are part of the Medicover S.R.L. group ("Medicover").
MediCall can be accessed following an Appointment made in advance within the "My Account" application, where the Medicover Patient/Customer already has a user account created. On the basis of the appointment made, a link will be generated to access the MediCall Consultation, which will become active on the date and time of the appointment, and will be available only during the Session.
Symptoms suitable for telemedicine (MediCall)
You can schedule a MediCall consultation if you have one or more of the symptoms listed below, to monitor certain chronic conditions and their treatment, or to interpret the results of medical tests.
General symptoms:- headache;
- nausea, vomiting;
- abdominal pain, regardless of location;
- palpitations;
- chest pain or stinging;
- back pain (dorsalgia) - any location - cervical, thoracic, lumbar;
- joint pain, muscle pain;
- fatigue (asthenia);
- dizziness.
- rash (various skin changes), including allergies;
- skin lesions - e.g. wounds;
- increases in blood pressure or pulse;
- symptoms specific to an upper or lower airway infection - cough, rhynoreea
- otalgia (earache);
- digestive symptoms - diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain specific to a certain pathology;
- eye symptoms - embarrassment, red eyes, burning or "sand in the eye", conjunctival discharge;
- urological symptoms - embarrassment or dryness when urinating, changed urine, whether or not associated with lower back or abdominal pain;
- gynecological symptoms - altered leukorrhea, embarrassment or burning, itching in the genital region.
- Control to monitor stable chronic diseases without the occurrence of acute symptoms related to them;
- investigations to monitor stable chronic conditions.
- Monitoring of evolution under treatment for certain acute conditions without a change in general condition - respiratory tract infections, urinary or genital infections, skin rashes, acute eye conditions (conjunctivitis), digestive conditions (enterocolitis, gastritis);
- monitoring of chronic diseases (hypertension, irritable bowel, diabetes, rheumatological diseases, dermatological diseases) - where the patient can show the doctor objective results such as blood pressure diary, blood glucose measurements, skin appearance, and discuss resolution or improvement of symptoms.
- Interpretation of results of previously recommended tests.
- Discussion of recommendations for routine investigations in asymptomatic individuals;
- Dietary and general recommendations to prevent or reduce the risk of illness or to maintain the effect of certain treatments.
- Advice related to travel to specific areas of the world - prevention and limitation of exposure to infectious diseases, necessary vaccines or specific protective measures in the region.
- Psychological counseling in specific situations.
- Acute symptomatology with impairment of general condition or as a result of accidents of any kind (domestic, road, aggression) or sudden change in general condition during treatment with worsening of symptoms requires physical consultation.
During the online session, depending on your medical situation, the specialist may recommend that the next consultation take place face-to-face, in the Medicover clinic. In this case, after the online session, please schedule a consultation in the Medicover clinic from „My Account”.

On the MediCall platform, you have access to doctors from various specialties such as internal medicine, general medicine, ophthalmology, cardiology, endocrinology, dermatology, epidemiology, hematology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, pneumology, psychology, psychiatry, pediatrics, urology, orthopedics, medical rehabilitation procedures and diabetes and nutritional diseases.

- Medicover reserves the right to change the list of doctors providing medical services via telemedicine at any time. The updated list of doctors providing medical services via telemedicine can be consulted in the "My Account" application, in the Book a MediCall section.
How do I Book a MediCall?
STEP 1
CREATE A MEDICOVER ACCOUNT OR LOG IN TO YOUR MEDICOVER ACCOUNT
"My Account Medicover" is the web and mobile app through which Medicover patients can make appointments, access doctors' schedules, test results and many other useful information.
To log in to the "My Account Medicover" application you can use the following login methods:
- MRN and password obtained for the full version of "My Account" application;
- MRN and using your Personal Identification Number (CNP) as password for the limited version of "My Account" application.
If you have not accessed Medicover services in the past and cannot reach one of our clinics, you can register online in "My Account Medicover" by filling in the online form available at this link: https://bit.ly/3f5E1Iw.
This will give you limited access to "My Account" application and you will be able to make online appointments for Medicover services.
STEP 2
BOOK YOUR ONLINE APPOINTMENT
From "My Account" application click on the Book a MediCall button to start the schedule appointment process.
You then choose the medical specialty, the language in which you want the consultation to take place, the doctor, and the date and time of the consultation. Validate your selection by clicking on Confirm appointment, and then click on the final confirmation of the selected appointment.
An automatic message will be displayed that your appointment has been confirmed. This message will also contain the consultation fee if your subscription plan does not cover the service, which you can pay online within 30 minutes.
- If the consultation payment is not made within 30 minutes of the appointment confirmation, the appointment will be automatically canceled.
STEP 3
PAY ONLINE
If the consultation is not included in your subscription or if you benefit from a discount, you will be able to pay the MediCall consultation fee or the rest of the payment online after confirming your appointment.
In order to benefit from the consultation, please pay online by clicking on the Pay Online button within 30 minutes of confirming your appointment or by clicking on the Online Payment link received by email.
You will be automatically redirected to the PayU payment page where you will pay the amount.
After making the payment, you will receive the invoice for the online consultation by e-mail.
How to prepare for MediCall:
Before accesing the telemedicine consultation, please check that the digital device you are using has a stable Internet connection, the microphone and its camera are working. If you are accessing the telemedicine service from home or office, make sure you are in a quiet space and that you will not be interrupted.
To log in to your telemedicine consultation, you can access the MediCall link you received by email or you can access the link in „My Account”, My Visits section. This will direct you to the login page of the MediCall communication platform where you need to type in the password from "My Account", or the password consisting of your Personal Identification Number (CNP).

Processing of personal data
Your personal data will be processed within the "MediCall" platform in accordance with Medicover's Privacy Policy which you can consult by accessing the link (https://www.medicover.ro/politica-confidentialitate/), the section relating to "Data processing in case you have accessed the Telemedicine services".
Information will be available on the categories of personal data processed, the purposes and legal grounds for the processing, the recipients of the personal data, the duration of processing as well as the rights you enjoy as a data subject.
